Miller's POV Quickly, I packed my bag, shoving in the essentials I would need for the trip. I don't know how long I will be there, but I'm in a rush to get to Amelia as soon as possible. I would have had Lizzy to do the packing, but I didn't have the time and I didn't want her to know the reason behind the impromptu trip. Just as I zip up the small traveling bag, the door opens, and Becca walks in. This is the worst possible timing. She looks up at me with curious eyes after observing my packed bag. "Why are you packing your bag?" she asks, her voice laced with concern. I feel a pang of guilt, knowing I'd promised to stay with her until my suspension is called off. How can I explain this impromptu trip to my daughter? How can I make a five-year-old understand the reason behind this
