“Yes, I will marry you.” I pulled out a leaf. “No, I can't marry you!” I pulled another leaf. “Yes, I will marry you!” I said as I pulled out the second to the last leaf. “No, I can't marry you!” the last one said, and I threw the stick away in annoyance. I repeated the process countless times as I pulled each leave out of the stem. I tried this method as a kid, and it never worked out well. I wonder why I am doing it now. I was too nervous to sit calmly in the park. My legs shook as I waited for Raphael to meet me in the park. The cold weather did little to calm me down.
