I bit my lip, a strange mix of anger and embarrassment twisting in my chest. Grabbing my sunglasses again, I stormed back out into the sunlight, slamming the door behind me a little harder than necessary. When Zed saw me, there was the slightest curve on his lips — not a smile, but something dangerously close to satisfaction. Annoying. I stalked toward him, planting my hands on my hips. “Happy now?” He didn’t bother answering. Instead, he bent down, grabbed a net — a heavy, dripping net, might I add — and shoved it toward me. “Carry this and follow me.” I stared at the tangled mess in horror. The thing was wet, smelled like the bottom of the ocean, and was definitely not meant for someone who just had a manicure two days ago. “You can’t be serious,” I said flatly, not making a move
