Annastacia, the wise and powerful witch, had a pressing matter on her mind. She approached Cillia and Galaxia, her trusted companions, with a request that would take them on an adventure. "My dearest Cillia and Galaxia, I have a task that requires your unique abilities. The troll princess, Lilliana, is in dire need of a healing potion, and I require a rare alga from the waterfall across the forest to complete it."
Cillia's eyes lit up with excitement, always eager for a new challenge. "I'm in! I've always wanted to explore that waterfall. Who knows what magical creatures we might encounter along the way." Galaxia, ever the cautious one, raised an eyebrow. "Are you sure this is necessary, Annastacia? We've only just established our sanctuary here. Leaving so soon might attract unwanted attention."
Annastacia smiled reassuringly. "Fear not, my friend. The troll princess's health is of utmost importance, and I trust you both to keep our home safe while I'm away. Besides, I have a feeling this journey will be beneficial for all of us." She placed a gentle hand on Cillia's shoulder. "Especially you, my young apprentice. It's time to test your newfound powers."
Galaxia nodded, her reservations melting away in the face of Annastacia's confidence. "Very well, we shall embark on this quest. But we must prepare thoroughly. The forest can be treacherous, and we don't want to be caught off guard."
As they gathered supplies and readied their packs, Cillia's mind wandered to the possibilities ahead. She had always felt a deep connection to the forest and its creatures, and she wondered what new allies or enemies they might encounter. The thought of a magical waterfall and its secrets excited her.
The trio set off at dawn, the morning mist swirling around them as they ventured into the ancient forest. Cillia, ever curious, kept a lively conversation going, asking about the various plants and animals they encountered. Galaxia, with her vast knowledge of the forest, provided insightful explanations, while Annastacia shared fascinating stories of her past adventures.
As they hiked, the forest seemed to come alive around them. Birds sang in harmony, their melodies filling the air with joy. Small creatures scurried across their path, occasionally stopping to observe the witches with curious eyes. Cillia's telepathic abilities allowed her to sense their playful energy, and she couldn't help but smile at their innocent curiosity.
Suddenly, a rustling in the bushes ahead caught their attention. A large, shaggy figure emerged, standing on its hind legs and revealing itself as a grizzly bear. The bear's deep, rumbling voice echoed through the forest, "Who dares trespass in my domain?"
Cillia, unafraid, stepped forward, her eyes meeting the bear's intense gaze. "We mean no harm, mighty bear. We are on a quest to reach the waterfall and seek a rare alga for a healing potion."
The bear lowered its stance, its eyes softening. "Ah, a quest, is it? I am Arlo, guardian of these woods. I sense your noble intentions, and I offer my protection. No harm shall come to you while you are under my watch."
Galaxia and Cillia exchanged glances, surprised by the bear's unexpected offer. "We accept your kindness, Arlo," Annastacia said. "Your guidance will be invaluable, especially with the many dangers that lurk in these woods."
Arlo grunted in agreement, then turned and began leading the way, his massive paws leaving deep imprints in the forest floor. Cillia couldn't help but feel a sense of awe and respect for the bear, who seemed to embody the very spirit of the forest itself.
As they trekked through the dense foliage, Arlo shared stories of the forest's history and the many creatures that called it home. He spoke of ancient battles, mythical creatures, and hidden treasures, captivating his companions with his tales. Cillia, in particular, was enthralled, her imagination running wild with the possibilities of the forest's secrets.
Finally, after hours of hiking, they reached a clearing, and the majestic waterfall came into view. The water cascaded down the rocky cliff, creating a misty veil that shimmered in the sunlight. The sound of the rushing water filled the air, drowning out all other sounds of the forest.
Galaxia approached the edge of the waterfall, her eyes scanning the rushing waters. "This is it, my friends. The alga we seek grows on the rocks just beneath the surface. It is said to have remarkable healing properties, especially for magical creatures."
Cillia joined her, peering over the edge, mesmerized by the power and beauty of the waterfall. As they prepared to descend and collect the alga, a melodic voice echoed from the waters, "Who dares disturb the peace of my realm?"
A figure emerged from the mist, revealing a breathtaking mermaid with long, flowing hair and a tail that shimmered in the sunlight. Her eyes, a deep shade of emerald, fixed upon Cillia. "I am Thalassa, guardian of this waterfall. State your purpose, young werewolf, for I sense a powerful magic within you."
Cillia, taken aback by the mermaid's sudden appearance, stuttered, "I-I am Cillia, and we seek the alga for a healing potion. We mean no harm and ask for your permission to gather it."
Thalassa's eyes narrowed, and her voice took on a challenging tone. "A simple request, is it? Well, I have a riddle for you, Cillia. Answer it correctly, and you may take what you seek. But be warned, my riddles are not easily solved."
Cillia's heart raced, knowing that her intelligence was being tested. "I accept your challenge, Thalassa. I am ready to prove my worth."
The mermaid's lips curved into a mysterious smile. "Very well, then. Listen closely. 'What has a thousand eyes but cannot see, and a thousand ears but cannot hear?'"
Cillia's mind whirled, trying to make sense of the riddle. She glanced at Galaxia, hoping for a hint, but her friend's expression was unreadable. Cillia's conscious whispered, "Think, my dear. What in this forest has a thousand eyes and ears, yet is blind and deaf to the world?"
Cillia's eyes widened as realization dawned. "The forest itself! The trees, with their branches and leaves, have a thousand eyes and ears, yet they do not see or hear as we do."
Thalassa's eyes sparkled with approval. "Impressive, young werewolf. You have proven your wit. You may take what you seek, but remember, with great power comes great responsibility."
Cillia was beyond thrilled to have solved the riddle. Thalassa's eyes change the colors of the rainbow and she smiles brightly at Cillia. "I am granting you and additional gift to the alge, you may also choose a creature from below the water. "
A small purple shimmery star fish telepathically communicated with Cillia, "Choose me, I can help you along the way"
So Galaxia and Cillia thanked the mermaid and headed back to their home.
To ensure that the starfish survived Galaxia decided that it best that she turn it into a Tattoo on Cillia until they made it back home.
