A Walk In The Halls
Back at the manor Bryant and Delilah continue to converse as they head for the main entrance. “What will you do now that Mr. Henry is no longer around?” Bryant asked, his hands tucked snugly into his pockets as he walked beside her. Delilah remained quiet for a few moments and then spoke. “Unfortunately I may have to leave the city and return home.” She replied with a hint of sadness in her voice. As they continued to walk Bryant thought of nothing, save finding a way for Delilah to stay in Shallows Creek. “That would be a shame to leave. Could you not find employ with another family?” He asks as beads of sweat pour down the back of his neck.
