I could hear the machines beeping and people talking quietly. I tried to listen to them, but they were either far away or talking so quietly that I couldn't make out what they were saying. I wasn't ready to open my eyes and face the world yet. I was humiliated and my heart was broken. While I know that Levi didn't mark her, I still blame him. He could have put a stop to this the second they met. He could have rejected her immediately like we had promised each other but instead he spent time with her allowing the bond to grow. He spent time with her probably making promises to her like he did me.
