"Zane, this is Levi, the new Alpha at Crescent Moon Pack," Jay said as he walked into my office.
"Nice to meet you finally," I told him as I stood up and shook his hand.
"Likewise, I am sorry about your father," he said and if only he knew the whole story.
"How is your wife doing?" I asked not really caring about that, but she also just lost her father and I know how that feels.
"She is not doing well."
"I can understand. Shall we get busy planning."
"Yes," he said, and I was already annoyed with this guy. I am not sure why he just rubbed me the wrong way but I know that Jay liked him and trusted him and so I was giving him the benefit of the doubt.
