Lance's POV
“Unresponsive?” The word was barely out of Maureen's mouth before I dashed out of the conference room running. My wolf was on the surface so it made my movement faster.
I didn't bother waiting for Maureen and Asher. Who could have dared to do that? Elder Fest farm was within the Citadel's perimeter. He was one of the few who were allowed to farm on the Citadel land because of his credibility and contributions to agriculture in and around the Citadel.
By the time I got to Elder Fest's farm, he and Lucia’s mum were being taken away by the ambulance.
“This is not good,” Asher said breathlessly. I turned to him and realized he was alone.
“Where is Maureen?” I asked.
“She said I should tell you that she will head to the hospital and await the ambulance,” Asher said.
