The rain poured heavily that night, striking the roof of the church like stones falling from the sky. The cold wind slipped through the broken windows, but I say motionless on the wooden bench, holding Kiara's diary tightly against my chest.
I could still hear her laughter in my head.
I could still remember the way she held my hand whenever I cried.
And now... She was gone.
The church suddenly felt empty without her presence. My child was gone. My health was weak. My marriage had destroyed me. And the only friend who fought for me until her last breath had died without even saying goodbye properly.
For days, I refused to speak to anyone.
The sisters at the church tried comforting me, but nothing could heal the pain growing inside my heart. I barely ate. I barely slept.
Sometimes I would wake up screaming after seeing my husband's face In my dreams.
Every night, I read Kiara's diary.
Every page carried pain.
Every page carried sacrifice.
But one particular sentence refused to leave my mind:
"Please love for both of us."
Then one night I make a decision to live again for the sake of Kiara.
And slowly, within realising it, I began to live again.
Everyday, I helped around the church in cleaning benches, teaching little girls how to sew and helping the sick villagers however I could.
The women in the village especially loved me because despite everything I had suffered, I still treated people gently.

Before marriage destroyed my life, have been a fashion designer but not recognised.
And that has been a passion that stayed alive inside of me.
I used the sewing machine of those villagers to sow clothes for people.
People began recognising my designs for elegance and emotional beauty. They said my dresses carried feelings inside them.
Maybe they were right.
Pain has a way of teaching beauty differently.
Eventually, a wealthy businesswoman from the city discovered my work during a local wedding ceremony and offered to sponsor me.
That was how I returned to the city after three years.
Not as a victim.
But as a woman rebuilding herself from ashes.
The city changed everything.
I worked tirelessly.
My days became sleepless night filled with fabrics, measurements, meetings and ambition. I poured every heartbreak into my design until my fashion brand became impossible to ignore.
Fashion shows. Magazine interviews. Luxury clients. Celebrity partnerships.
The same woman who nobody knows is now somebody people knows.
Within a few years, I became the CEO of a luxury fashion company called Miah Atelier.
People admired my elegance. Feared my silence. Envied my success.
But nobody knew revenge still lived quietly inside my heart.
