Finn cursed himself for the hundredth time, he'd seen it in her eyes, the moment she'd decided to go home. She would not choose him. Why? Because of one small lie? i***t, he thought, he should have left it for later, let her find out when she was so in love with him she couldn't leave him. Now, he'd messed up and she wouldn't give him a chance to make it right.
"Jack?" He called his lookout and waited for him to make his way over. "Avery says there is someone on our tail. Keep an eye out, it could be nothing, but I trust her instincts."
