Still a year earlier
Far from Black Hollow, in the cold silence of Shadow Fang territory, the wind pressed hard against the high stone walls of Kael Draven’s stronghold.
Inside his private chamber, the atmosphere was still,controlled.
Heavy with thought.
Kael stood by the wide window, looking out over the vast land that belonged to him. Snow clung to distant peaks, and patrol guards moved like shadows across the grounds below.
Nothing escaped his territory for long.
That was why he always knew things before they became problems.
A soft knock came at the door.
“Enter.” The door opened slowly.
A scout stepped inside, kneeling immediately. “My Alpha.” Kael didn’t turn. “Report.” The man hesitated only briefly before speaking.“News from Black Hollow.”
