My whole body ached, it is not normal to feel this way, but ever since I saw Ayla in my mind, I have been regaining my strength.
It felt like a long time, but when I opened my eyes, I saw my beautiful mate sitting next to my bed, reading a dragon traditions book. Her relaxed demeanor indicated that the worst had already passed, and she was just waiting for me to be strong enough to wake up.
I cleared my throat, breaking her concentration, and immediately she stood up. “Alex!” she softly said while taking my hand in hers.
