"Emily, wait! Please!" Lily screamed from behind her. But Emily couldn't slow down; she just kept running, her feet pounding on the pavement. "I don't know how to cope with all of this, Lily," Emily wept. "What if I lose her?" "I know, Emily, I know. But your mother is a fighter - she's strong, and so are you. You're not alone in this," Lily said, her voice soothing Emily's troubled mind. After a few moments, Emily calmed down and regained her composure. She knew that she couldn't avoid the situation any longer. Everything felt out of control, and she was determined to regain some sense of it. "I need to go back to the hospital," Emily said, her voice thick with emotion. "I need to be there for my mother, no matter what happens." Emily disagreed, "Go get some rest! Emily was grateful for William's kindness and generosity, but she couldn't help wonder why he seemed so interested in her and her family. She pushed those thoughts aside, though, and enjoyed the delicious meal that William's chef had prepared. As they finished their dinner, William suggested : " Let's take a walk around the garden." " Okay!" Emily agreed, and they strolled arm in arm through the lush foliage. It was a warm night, and the moon was high in the sky.
