Lunara sat on the same spot on the beach, waiting for Zephyra to arrive. It was a little past sunset, and the sky was dark, save for the stars above. She watched the waves crash against the shore and listened to the soothing sound of the water.
As Zephyra arrived, Lunara greeted her with a smile. "Hi, Zephyra. It's nice to see you again."
Zephyra smiled back, "Hey, Lunara. Sorry I'm a bit late. I had to run some errands for my mom."
Lunara nodded understandingly, "No worries. So, what did you do today?"
Zephyra sighed, "Not much, just ran errands and helped my mom around the house. What about you?"
Lunara shrugged, "I played games all day, to be honest. I didn't do anything productive."
Zephyra raised an eyebrow, "What kind of games do you play?"
Lunara shrugged, "Mostly computer games, like MOBA and FPS games. But I also play mobile games, specifically Wildrift."
Zephyra was in awe, "Wow, you're really into games, huh?"
Lunara nodded, "Yeah, I love them. They're a great way to relax and destress after a long day."
Zephyra smiled, "I can see why. I've never been much of a gamer myself, but I'm glad you enjoy it."
As they chatted more about gaming and Lunara's favorite games, Zephyra couldn't help but be fascinated by Lunara's passion and dedication. She admired Lunara's commitment to something she loved and hoped to find that same level of passion in her own life.
Lunara nodded in agreement, "So, what do you want to do tonight?"
Zephyra looked out at the ocean, "I was thinking we could just sit here and talk. It's such a beautiful night, and the stars are out."
Lunara smiled, "That sounds nice. What do you want to talk about?"
Zephyra thought for a moment before asking, "What do you want to do in the future?"
Lunara didn't hesitate, "I want to be the boss of my own company. I want to make a difference in people's lives and create something that will last."
Zephyra was impressed, "Wow, that's a big goal."
"What about you? What do you want to do?"
Zephyra hesitated before answering, "Well, I'm actually applying for a professional job related to education. It's something I've always been interested in, but I'm not sure if I'll get it."
Lunara comforted her, "Don't worry, Zephyra. You'll do great. Just be confident in yourself and your abilities."
Zephyra smiled gratefully, "Thanks, Lunara. That means a lot coming from you."
As they chatted more about their future aspirations, Lunara gave Zephyra advice on how to prepare for the interview and how to stay calm and focused during the process. Zephyra was grateful for Lunara's support and guidance.
As Lunara and Zephyra watched the night sky in peaceful silence, Sophia, Lunara's mom, called out to her from the house.
"Lunara, come inside dear, dinner is ready," Sophia said, making her way to the beach.
Lunara stood up, dusting the sand off her clothes. "Okay, mom. Zephyra, I want to invite you to have dinner with my family tonight. We would love to have you."
Zephyra: "Thank you, Lunara. I would be honored to join you."
Zephyra followed Lunara to the house, where Sophia introduced herself and welcomed her to their home. Zephyra was taken aback by Sophia's warm personality and gracious hospitality.
Sophia: "Welcome, Zephyra. It's nice to finally meet you. Please come in and make yourself at home."
They sat down at the dinner table, where Zephyra was introduced to the rest of Lunara's family. However, she quickly realized that she was the only one who didn't speak French. While she tried to follow along with the conversation, it was clear that she felt a bit out of place.
Despite the language barrier, Zephyra felt welcomed by Lunara's family. They asked her about her background and interests, and even though she struggled to express herself in French, they were patient and understanding.
As they finished their meal and the conversation turned to lighter topics, Zephyra felt grateful to have met Lunara's family. She knew that they were important to her friend and it made her happy to see how much they cared for each other.
Selene suddenly asked Lunara out of blue. "Lunara, tu es amoureuse de Zephyra?" (Lunara, are you in love with Zephyra?)
Lunara became red at her sister's nonsense question. "Non, bien sûr que non. Pourquoi tu dis ça?" (No, of course not. Why would you say that?)
"Parce que tu rougis chaque fois qu'elle te parle" (Because you blush every time she talks to you)
Lunara became tomato faced and Selene couldn't stop giggling. "Je ne rougis pas!" (I'm not blushing!)
"Si, tu rougis. C'est mignon!" (Yes, you are blushing. It's cute!)
Zephyra was so confused and politely said. "I'm sorry, I don't understand what you're saying.
Selene was grinning ear to ear. "Oh, excuse me. We're talking about you and my sister"
Lunara is a mess. "Selene, arrête de me taquiner!" (Selene, stop teasing me!)
Even though she's so confused, Zephyra didn't bother to understand what Selene said. "It's okay, don't worry. I'm happy to meet your family."
"Yes, she's very nice. You're lucky, Lunara!"
So embarrassed that Lunara covered her tomato faced and grumpily said. "Selene, tu es méchante!" (Selene, you're mean!)
Zephyra was giggling. "It's okay, it's funny. I'm glad we can joke around together."
Selene then bid her goodbye. "Yes, me too. Well, I'm going to do my homework. See you later!"
Lunara bid her goodbye as well as Zephyra. "Au revoir, Selene!" (Goodbye, Selene!)
As Selene said her goodbyes to her family and headed back to her own place, Zephyra got ready to leave too, noticing that it was already close to midnight.
Zephyra turned to Lunara and said. "Thank you for having me over, Lunara. I had a really great time."
Lunara smiled warmly. "I'm so glad you could come. It was a lot of fun. I'll walk you to the beach."
The two walked in silence for a few minutes until they reached the shore.
Lunara, feeling a bit sad that their time together had come to an end. "This is the perfect spot to say goodbye. Thank you for coming, Zephyra. I hope we can hang out again soon."
Zephyra grinned. "Definitely. But before I go, there's something I want to do."
And with that, Zephyra leaned in and planted a gentle kiss on Lunara's cheek before turning and running away, shouting "Goodbye!" over her shoulder.
Lunara was left standing there, feeling as though her brain had stopped working. She couldn't believe what had just happened, and her face turned redder than a tomato as she grinned from ear to ear.
As she walked back home, she realized that this night would always be a special memory for her.
