"Line up students, we have special permission to use this campsite for free so we all should be careful with the amenities of the site especially the cabins, also keep in mind to always clean after your mess," The professor said holding his megaphone so all of us 150 students would hear him from afar. I looked around the campsite and I was surprised that our school was able to get permission to use it without paying. This site or should I say, resort, is a famous tourist destination because of its beautiful mountain sceneries, rivers that's best known for rafting. Aside from that, I pretty sure heard there are caves and waterfalls as well for the adventurous and really love nature.
"The right side is for the girls and Omegas while the left side is for the boys. This site has 40 cabins in total, each room can cater to up to four students so I grouped you all in random by four. There are 150 of you so and 5 of that are Omegas which I've decided to group into two. Anyway, with all that said, I've already given you your group numbers, you can now go and unpack your bags. I'll give you 30 minutes to do that and I'm expecting you all to go back here so we can start with our activity," The professor finished, the reactions of the students were mixed. Most of the students are excited but there were a few others that felt like this activity was such a hassle.
"Arg, at least we're staying in a cabin. I would never want to sleep in a tent again," Bea whispered. The first time it was announced that we were going on a camping trip, it was said that we were going to build our own tent to experience "nature", but now, look at us. We're staying in a high-end nature adventure resort park.
"It's said here we're going rafting," Kent suddenly said reading the activity card given to us earlier before we left the university.
"What!? Rafting?" Bea asked surprised and then snatched the paper from Kent's palm.
"You haven't read it? Apparently, we're free to use the whole facility including the rafting boats. It'll be tomorrow morning," I said while Bea still read the activity card. Honestly, I doubt this was for our subject because we're basically here to enjoy even though Professor said it was to test out our physical and teamwork capabilities since the teams are arranged randomly. Basically, our teammates and roommates might completely be strangers who were from the other classes and years.
"Am I actually going to enjoy this camping trip?" Bea questioned with her weirdly bright expression.
"Bea, you brute!" I whined. Rafting and other kinds of extreme activities which apparently we're all doing during these three days and two nights' trip are definitely not my forte. Although I haven't tried it before, I watched videos of rafting and it definitely looked dangerous. People fall out of the boat and sometimes drown. I know how to swim but in calm waters like swimming pools and beaches, not aggressive ones that would only stress me out.
"Ah, it's said we're going to have brief orientation later and then free to roam around the campsite until 6 PM, meaning... we can go and check out the caves and waterfalls. Ahhh... we should go now and unpack," Ignoring my complaint, Bea read the card more and even proceeded to find her cabin leaving Kent and I standing following her figure.
"And I thought she wouldn't enjoy this trip," I mumbled pouting.
"Let her be, it's better than her skipping all the activities," Kent commented with a chuckled which I quickly agreed on.
"Yeah, you're right. We better find our cabin as well," I said with a sigh. Honestly, if this trip wasn't compulsory, I would have preferred spending my weekend with Rahu in a different country or if not, I would have enjoyed staying in my bed watching anime. Also, I feel slightly upset because Rahu didn't even say anything when I talked to him earlier when I called aside from I should have fun. Based on how clingy he was to me after we found out that his older brother was actually my fated mate, I could have sworn he would do anything to stop me from going to a trip where his older brother was said to come as well but no, instead he was so busy to even meet me yesterday.
"hmmm yeah, I'll help you find yours. We still have more time," Kent offered. I quickly nodded at him before we finally left like most students. It wasn't really difficult to find it because all cabins have numbers, we only have to find the number given to us earlier.
"Are you sure though? My cabin's number is 39," I said as we walked. Since my number is 39, it's expected that it's located further from the function hall.
"Yeah, no worries," Kent replied with his usual gentle smile. Kent and I are childhood friends, we live close to each other and even sometimes spend Christmas and New Year together with his huge family because there's only Dad and me at home so even though we're the same in age, he still felt like my older brother.
"Okay," I smiled.
"How have you been?" As we continued to walk slowly towards our destination, Kent suddenly asked me causing me to look at him.
"I'm fine. Why?" I replied and then asked tilting my head to the side.
"I heard rumors about you and that other Prince," Kent said making me sigh in frustration. It has been days and the stares and awkward silence is still there. I chose to ignore it, but they're still some students who approach me to ask about it which I quickly deny. However, no matter how much I tell them that Amir Sahib isn't my mate rumors still spread wide because of that encounter we had during Mrs. Pat's class. Thankfully, after that time at Rahu's Palace back in Mizrahill, I haven't seen him again. He hasn't gone back to school as well. I heard he was going to attend this camping trip to experience the countries culture and nature but he wasn't actually here.
"Oh, don't worry, although it's annoying that people stare at me, the treated wasn't like back in high school," I said hoping that he wouldn't worry. Kent is very busy with his studies because it requires field studies and a lot of numbers and computations since he's in engineering. Ever since we become third years he's been very busy so we couldn't hang out as much as we did back in high school. Additionally, Kent now has a part-time job not far from the university. He doesn't have much time for himself much more for Bea and me.
"Hmmm, that's good. If you have any trouble, don't hesitate to tell me or Bea."
"Yeah, I know. Thank you so much," I replied cheerfully earning a smile from him. He must have been worried for me, he had always been like that ever since we were little.
"How about your boyfriend?" Kent asked again.
"Rahu? He's probably busy with his Prince duty, as usual, we spent the whole day together a few days ago. Anyway, he said he'll call me later today," I said pouting as I remembered Rahu again. I'm happy that Rahu wasn't trying to restrict me but when he does it I feel so upset. I want him to want me enough for him to keep me by himself. I know I'm crazy to say this but sometimes that's just how I feel.
"hmmm," Kent just hum and didn't talk anymore making me chuckle silently. He had always been the kind to keep his words to himself. He rarely talks and if he does talk, he just asks the thing that he wanted to ask from the beginning and never with a follow-up question. If his question is already answered then everything will become silent all of a sudden.
Arriving at my cabin, Kent and I finally separated after I thank and apologized to him for taking me all the way to my cabin. When Kent left I knocked on the door first before I twisted the doorknob open, thinking there was someone inside already. Fortunately, I was the first one, that way I could choose which bed I'll be taking. There are two double decks in the room, our professor said there are 5 Omegas in the class so we're divided into two. There could be two persons here or three. Anyway, either of them I wish I would get along with them.
Choosing the lower deck of the left side bed, I quickly unpacked my things. There weren't really that many to unpack since we're only staying here for three days and two nights so I finished quickly. I didn't have anything to do and there are still a few minutes before it's time to go so I decided to lie on my bed planning to call Rahu. I was just about to unlock my phone when Rahu's name ID flashed on my screen indicating that he has called me before I did.
"I was just about to call you," I said when I accepted his call.
"How was the trip?" Rahu asked softly. I closed my eyes loving the feeling of his voice so close to my ears.
"Fine, I guess, turns out we're staying at this tourist destination campsite," I replied with a huge sigh while I hugged myself.
"Why do you sound like you aren't enjoying it?" Rahu chuckled as he asked.
"Yeah, it's because you aren't here," I pouting half-joking. "I'm missing you so much already," I whined rolling on the bed.
"Then should I go there to see you?" Rahu asked surprising me. I didn't really mean it like that. Well okay slightly but if he comes here everyone would see him, it'll be difficult for me to be with him.
"Don't, I can't be with you anyway." I pouted making Rahu chuckle once again.
"E-Excuse me? I knocked b-but no one answered," I was still talking to Rahu when someone at the door suddenly talked surprising me.
"Sorry Rahu, I'll call you later... Anyway don't come, I'll be fine not seeing you for three days," I said, I didn't wait for Rahu to reply as I already ended our call.
"Yes. Yes. Sorry about that..." I said looking at a short and timid looking male Omega just like me.
"Uhmm, I heard from the other three Omegas that they'll be staying in one room together and then sent me here to be with you," he said shyly walking inside the room.
"Oh, okay that's fine. You can take the other bed, this way there will be more space for us to enjoy," I said with a smile.
"I'm Gabriel Ferns. I'm a third-year student from the education department. Nice to meet you." I said extending my hand for a handshake.
"I'm Alex Wilson, a-accounting department..." he said shyly while hesitating to take my hand.
"Don't be shy, we'll be staying in this room for three days together, we should be friends," I said hoping that he wouldn't feel that pressure. He's so short and then he's still trying to slouch down, he looked so unconfident and easy to bully.
"O-Okay, thank you. Also, s-sorry for interrupting your call earlier,"
"It's okay. That was just my boyfriend, I'll call him later. Anyway, you should hurry up and unpack and then well go back together to the function hall. Oh, and if you want, you can come with me later. We plan to explore the campsite before the dinner," I offered quickly, from the looks of him he doesn't seem like he had friends he could hang out with maybe that's why he's so timid and super shy.
"N-No, I can't. I don't want to cause you trouble," he said waking his hand.
"You won't cause me trouble. I insist..." I insisted suddenly feeling sorry for him.
Fidgeting with his clothes, Alex looked at me at first before he finally nodded okay.
