One Last Call

Chapter 4 Attraction

Third-person POV

When Damon arrived at the café, Erica saw how handsome she looked in his casual wear. She wanted to say hi and talk to him, but she knows better than to speak to the boos on his off day. So, she left hurriedly not looking at her boss’s direction. When she stepped out of the café, she let out a breath she didn’t know she was holding. Mai looked strangely at her and asked if she was ok. And she replied that she was. And walked away from the café.

On Monday, the day Damon was looking forward to because he can finally see her. He went to the office early than usual. But when he arrived there. She has yet to come, so he started looking over the files layer on his marble table.

Erica woke up a bit later than usual and she didn’t get to eat her breakfast. She washes up, wears her clothes, and made sure she had everything that is necessary for today. She called a cap; she reviewed the boss’s schedule for today.

When she arrived at the office. She got a call saying to come to the CEO’s office.

Damon was feeling happy when she arrived in his office, and she looked very beautiful in her office clothes. But he cannot tell her that, so he just talked to her about work and what his schedule is for today. After 30 minutes of talking, Damon’s friends barges into the office like they owned it and surprise Damon and Erica. Damon dismissed Erica to her work, and he let out a sigh and walked towards his friend sitting on the sofa. His friend stayed at his office for a long time, and they went out to get something to eat.

Erica was at her office when she heard someone knock at her door. It was Damon, he told her that she can leave early since he will not be coming back. But as a stubborn woman, she said that she will finish her work and then leave saying goodbye to Damon.

Erica finished her work by 2 pm and called her best friend Mai to see if she was free but to her luck, she was not so she was all alone. And she decided to go to her favorite restaurant Cena del Cigno Rosso.

Damon and his friend arrived at his restaurant Cena del Cigno Rosso around 1:30 after checking on Tina. They wanted to celebrate his friend Victor’s engagement. Victor and Tina have been together since high school time, and they are having their first baby in a few months. Damon went to his private room on the top floor of the restaurant and order the most delicious and creative food.

Erica arrived at the restaurant and went to eat on the balcony floor. It was her favorite place to eat because most of the time she would be alone so she can watch other people walking by and doing their normal daily life while she eats. After ordering her food she checked her email to make sure she didn’t miss anything. But today was definitely not her day because she got a business emailed her saying that something happened to the factory in New Jersey and needed immediate attention. So, she had to call Mr. Heart.

When Damon was eating and talking with his friend. His phone ring showed Erica was calling him. He frowned because she had never called her on the phone, so he knows something big happened in his absence.

He answered the call and was shocked to know that an accident happened in his factory. He told her to get more details because he doesn’t want to just leave his friends.

Erica made some phone calls and got the exact detail of what had happened. And she called Damon.

Damon was waiting for her call and after 30 minutes, he got the call and answered her. She was about to tell him what had happened but he first asked her where she was so they can talk face to face. As it would be more efficient. She told him that she was at Cena del Cigno Rosso, and he became very happy and once again asked what floor she was on. She told him she was on the 5th floor on the balcony. He excuses himself from his friend and went down the elevator to the 5th floor. When he saw her just looking at the people down the street, he felt something very sad about it. He went to her side told the waiter to bring the food to his room and they walked towards his private room.

Erica was shocked to know that he had a private floor and a room. But to be honest she kind of knew that he will have a room but not an entire floor to himself. When she entered the room the, entire room went silent because of how Damon was acting. To his friends, it was the first time a woman is seen with him, and he was holding the door for her to enter, smiling like a crazy person. They knew that she meant something special to Damon. They were very happy that he had finally found a woman he can live with.
