SLIG-GLIGSFar removed from the knowledge of man there exists a small group of beings who resemble elongated cantaloupes, creatures with neither arms nor legs, but endowed with a great deal of intelligence and compassion. Many hundreds of years ago, they dwelt for a few days in the northern regions of Balestel Fork, to the east of Jalmur River near the base of the Dulg Mountains, but they were later driven away by the folk residing there who wished to get a good night's sleep. The terrain in that area is rocky and precipitous, and is fraught with many dangers. How the Slig-gligs got there no one knows, since history fails to record such beginnings with any degree of accuracy.
