I looked at the seven carat diamond ring and smirked. "I can't believe you would do this."
He kissed my forehead and sat back down. "I wanted to do it, Serenity. I love you."

After dinner, I sent Lia a photo of my ring.
Lia: OMG!
Serenity: I know, right???
Lia: When are you getting married???
Serenity: Haha, I don't know. It'll take a while to do all of the planning.
Lia: I better be a part of it :)
Serenity: Of course!
Lia: Congrats!
"Who are you texting?"
"Lia."
"Were you surprised?"
"Very. I honestly never thought you would think about doing this."
