Chapter Fourteen Rhys Rhys woke to the sound of his phone vibrating on his nightstand. He sat up, disoriented, and reached for it. He frowned at the screen, swiping to accept the call even as he turned and frowned at the empty bed. His brain was trying to process Echo’s absence and a four a.m. phone call at the same time, and failing. “Hello?” he asked, scanning the room for clues as to Echo’s whereabouts. “You ain’t been keeping track of my girl,” came Tee-Elle’s voice.
