PROLOGUE

Kai's POV
I walked to the abandoned warehouse behind the alley of one of the buildings,with my trench coat dripping lightly. My hair was wet and scattered across my face.
I felt someone tap me on my shoulder,I gripped the person's hand and flipped him backwards,and he fell to the ground with his back. I stepped my foot on his chest and brought out a gun from my shirt and c****d it.
“Relax…it's just me man.” The man said,throwing his hands above his head.
“Who are you?” I asked with creasing brows.
“I'm the messenger of your client.” The man muttered.
I uncocked the gun and put it back whilst I removed my leg from his chest.
“You are one tough …..big guy,ya hear me.” The man hissed and dusted the dirt off his body.
“Where is the file?” I asked.
“Here ... .part of the payment is here and you'd get the other half when the job is completed.”
I grabbed the file,opened it and flipped through the pages.
“Rich kids…always spoilt brats.” The man muttered.
“Hmmm.” I mumbled.
“She had the guts to…….” His voice trailed off as I walked away. “You don't want to know what happened?” The man shouted.
“I don't care.” I hissed and continued walking.
I walked back to the hotel room and the receptionist gave me that seductive wink again. I smiled and went towards the elevator.
I pushed open my suite's door,dropped the file on the counter and walked into the bathroom.
The warm water seemed to have cooled down my nerves,I walked out of the bathroom with a towel wrapped around my waist and another on my neck.
I entered the room and lazily wore joggers and a white singlet. As I passed by the counter,I grabbed the file and sat down on the lounge chair.
“Serena Calderòn..” I muttered. “ What must you have done to get on the bad side of Capo Rangrok?”
‘No,it isn't any of my business.’ I said inwardly and shook my head. I flipped the book close and suddenly my door bell rang.
I opened the door and saw that hotel receptionist standing outside,her skirt was shorter than usual and her cleavages were clearly exposed.
“Sir,do you need anything,I might be of help to you.” She said and winked her eyes.
“ I don't think that is your job.” I said and tilted my head.
“I'm on my break,and I thought maybe you might need something.” She said and bobbed her breasts forward.
I snickered inwardly. I knew what she wanted and what harm is it gonna do,if I just did it for her and plus it's been a while since I smacked someone.
“Go to the bedroom and take off all your clothes.” I commanded and gave way for her to slip through.
I gave her butt a slap and closed the door as I took off my singlet.
