He knew that all mystery of Melone, snake woman and black cobra would be resolved by only the Blind Bantua. He decided that he would visit the Cave of Latura for the answer of his questions. But it was now getting to late sun was getting down behind the mountain. Only dimming yellowish light was shining the green trees and bushes like ornate girls who were waiting for her lovely beloved. Osu was thinking about the Melone. Melone was looking beautiful. She was in her age of flourishing beauty. Her charming beauty was different from other girls of tribe. But it would not affected to the mind of Melone, she considered herself as a part of tribe. Her hairs were too much curly than the other girls. Her skin was reddish and grey. Her waist and feet were too small. All things were storming to his head now. They were crossing several stones and ponds. A lonely eagle was flying above on their head. Osu had seen it. But he was in hurry; he had to go as early as possible to his tribe. Tribal youth never turned to her in attraction towards her. He was thinking of groom for Melone for several days. Today, the scene seen through his eyes had made him haunted. They slowly entered into the valley by making the way by pushing aside the bushes and little plants. Kalus walking in trance handing his leather warrior symbol. He achieved it like other warriors but he had proud of it. Blind Bantua had given it to him but while giving him said, “You will be the lone survivor of our tribe in upcoming fortune. You have to fight for our tribe. And you will”, Kalus knew that the words of the never be empty, it always contains some meaning. Kalus, suddenly stumbled to the something. His trance broke with it. He saw that he was at the edge of the hill and another member of their tribe hold his hand. If he had not caught his hand, he would fell into the throngs’ bushes. Small Bantua said, “ Look, you are going to become the devil’s victim”. Kalus said, “ I lost my sight for a while”. “Sight, come to earth my child”, while moving back Osu said. Again they started striding the path for home. These throng bushes were large in quantity on Girihas Mountain. According to the tribes’ men, these bushes were of heaven. Devil brought it to the land of mankind to injure them. Injected throngs would drink blood and leave the poison in human body to haunt him. Tribal people would avoid touch this bushes; even they would not inhale the smell of bushes. These bushes enchant the living beings. Snakes resided always under these bushes, under the spell of the smell of tree. It was considered as devil made snake their agent for making slaves to the soul of human. Even the trance of smell would make the snakes madden to do anything. With wind’s flow smell reaches to the long region and snake crosses the several miles distance for that smell. Allured snakes would come there as returning to their abode to rest. Kalus thought about Melone and turned back. He knew that she was behind small Bantu. He found that she was near of bush. She inhaled the smell of throng bush which made her mad. She lingered the near of bush. “ Melone, hurry up, it’s getting dark”, he called her. He saw that she was breathing fast, with her every breath her chest was being up and down. Her womanhood was clearly visualized to his eyes. Some while it made him passionate for her. Open pointed arch of it, trenched in drops of sweat which were getting down from her head. He was losing his control. He again called her, “Melone”. But this time, he saw that she was hissing like a snake looking at the bush. He called Osu. All stopped their movements and stared at Melone. Osu came near of her and touched his forehand. He looked down. He saw there were several snakes under the bushes. Melone was breathing fast; he caught her hand tightly and dragged her from there. She was staring her eyes looking at him. All things were mysterious to the Osu. She was in trance, Kalus and other Bantuas picked her up and moved. All Bantuas were walking fast, as they understood something uninvited danger coming to them. Eagle was still flying upon their head in the sky. Eagle was so close to him, it was looking at the all tribe men. Osu ordered them, “fasten your feet, we have to cross this valley before it become darken, it was not full moon days”. Warriors were following the Osu, they raised their speed, even they did not want to spend night in this strange valley. They reached near a lake; still Melone was unconscious with wide open eyes. Kalus was too much tired, he needed water. Osu said, “Drink water if you want it”. Nobody said no because the whole day was ferocious to them, they had not get any animal to hunt even nor a drop of water. Kalus and small Bantu kept aside the Melone and entered into the lake to drink water. Kalus picked some water in his hands and flashed on his face, it gave him relief. He drank water, he felt heavy and clumsy. He took some water in his hand and came to Melone and sprinkled on her face. Drops of water brought her to the conscious state. She flipped her eyes and moved the eyeballs from east to west. All Bantuas were gathered around her, she looked at them. And stood up, she was looking like weaken, fainted. Osu asked, “How do you feel now?” Melone said, “Fine, but my head is aching”. Osu asked, “What happened to you?” “I saw a vision in dream a vision of woman who had a several snakes upon her head. She was so beautiful but her beauty was shadowed by her snakes of her head. She wanted to say something to me. When I lost my senses, I was in a different world. I found myself in cave. The cave was full of darkness. In midst of the cave a woman was sitting in front of fire. The fire was lightened in front of statue of stone. I do not know whose statue it was. But it was of woman. The lady was plucking up his snaked hairs and putting into the fire. May be she was sacrificing the snakes to the statue as worship. When she noticed my appearance, she turned her face to me and said, “You are mine; You are my drop of blood, I have to sacrifice you to the goddess Athena. With my end, this earth will be free”. She was approaching to me. She held my hand and dragging me towards the fire. I was so close of fire, but my trance broken with sound of yours”. “What kind of cave it was? Was it among the mountains? , “asked Osu. “Yes, all over stones were there. Somewhere plants of flowers, flowers were flourished in the darkness but these are different from our lands, “Melone said. “Yes, that is a cave”, Osu said. Melone asked, “ Do you know that cave?” “Yes, it is cave at the beside of mountains”, where!, “ he stopped his talking. “Where, What? “Melone asked. Osu stunned. He could not say anything. He just said, “Let’s move, we are too near of our tribe”. They hurriedly left the lake and walked towards the upper side lake. They climbed the upper hill and came to the plateau. It was plateau which had seen several battles of tribal feudal. Bantua and Dohameyan also met to this plateau some years ago. But unification of both gave birth to the new race. But previous race and culture sustained in their blood as it. Bantua’s still different from the Dohameyan in culture and traditions. They sustained their liberty and pride. It would remain because neither colonisation nor natural disaster has a power to change the soul of any society. It growth and retains in human’s gene for forever. Plateau contained several decaying parts of history. Skeletons of forefathers of Osu scattered on the plateau. It would difficult to him to recognize the skeleton of human and animal. Kalus picked a skull in his hand said, “Lord, It might be of Bantua”. Osu smiled and said, “May be Bantua or Dohameyan ; “Or may be of animal”. After death bones are bones. It does not matter. It is of animal or human. One thing notable, animal kills each other for food or security. But why do the human kill each other? What does make them to fight? They are fighting for land or supremacy. What is supremacy? Supremacy is nothing but barbarism”. Kalus said, “That’s true; barbarism begins with lust”. Osu said, “Do not be scholar, in the dying day”. Everyone laughed loudly. Evening was shadowing its roof over earth. It was being gloomy now. As gloominess of the night wrapping darken shawl all over, they could hardly see the maze which was unused by the human. All were silent; without making any sound they searching the way for tribe. Only footsteps were making noise in the grass. Osu knew that they were not far away from the tribe, but other Bantuas doubted that might be they reach at their tribe. Because they were never came to this plateau. This plateau was considered as death plateau because this plateau had a history of death of their tribes. Tribes considered that who came to this plateau, he never returned to home alive. Old tribal men and women had several stories of this plateau. Kalus knew one of such story, he while walking with Melone in queue. He said, “Do you know ? Why this plateau is never used by our tribe? It is Death Plateau”. “What death Plateau!, “ Melone said. Kalus said, “It is death plateau. My grandfather told me that this plateau was a sacred plateau. Godly beauty decorated it with trees, bushes, plants and animals. These animals were beyond our imagination as human beings like: Elephants, lions, tigers, rabbits, wolves, horses, dogs, cats, rats, snakes, leopards, monkeys, panthers, mermaids and so on. But these animals had a speciality. That was their half body from the waist was of animal and half of mankind. You will not believe. I too, not believed on those things. Melone smiled in darkness. Her white teeth shined in darkness. She said, “It would not be true”. Half men and half animals were on this plateau!” “But its true, Melone”, Kalus said. “Let me, show you something, “he said. He raised his stick and while walking and took another end of it, in his hand. Another end of the stick having a iron lid to the stick. He drove out the iron lid of end stick. He shook sticks. It made sound of ‘khankhn’ within stick. He took something in his hand and said, “I knew that you are not going believe so I want to show you something. It was too darken but just took in your hand. He handed her a something. She took it. It was a rough but rounded thing. It felt her hot. She handed it to him again and asked, “what is it?. He said, “Now listen carefully; It is silver symbol of Derido’s Kingdom. It felt hot to beings that were the half men and half animals. It is sacred symbol from the temple of Derido’s goddess Saphroine. It gives power to them if they wore it around their neck. It made them immortal. It had snake coiled shape with coiled snake picture on it. After wearing it, these men become immortal. Neither god nor devil or men control them. Deorido’s father achieved it from the goddess by sacrificing his body to the goddess. My grandfather told me that Deorido’s father was of clan of the horse. Generally, it was forest law, even we considers tiger or lion as the king of kingdom. But Deorido’s father had a stupendous knowledge and power. His name was Zerul. His supremacy accepted by everyone except the wolfman Fraves and lionman Lexon. Zerul had constructed the underground a palace for shelter. It was named as Zerul kyne. Although upper ground was looking like plateau, but it was full of with the elusive bushes. These bushes would change their shape and speak in midnight. It is considered as still some bushes are on this plateau. Some tribes picked some of it as herbal plant for diseases. Just like, your illusion of cave and its plants. Melone said, “It is not illusion, I seen that dream, It is true”. “ok, Listen, further; Berul was a brother of Zerul but he was lazy and adamant enough to create trouble for Zerul. But Zerul never ill treated him; he behaved with like a well brother. Berul had equal height like other horses. But he was too big and powerful. It was not easy to defeat him to other animals. So he was selected as the leader of their armour of kingdom by the all half men and half animals. Palace was constructed for security of all animals. Beneath the plateau, there was a huge palace of stones prepared by the Zerul. Deriodo was a king of the all subjects who were half men and half animals. He was the person of words. His head and arms were like man but his half of the body had strength horse. He was master in using every weapons but he was specially known his subject for his bows and arrows. It was speciality of Deorido. Some were alive they lived on earth”. Kalus said. “What! Crusade”, Melone with loud voice said. “Yes, this was crusade which took place between God and Devil. Earth was full of with different species, it was like heavenly kingdom. Every creature was living with content. They were bounded to the law of creator which was about limitation of their world. But god’s creation not remained as sane. As violation of law became basic instinct of man from the fall of disobedience. It took place in the company of devil. Living beings crossed the boundaries of their world which was given to them. , it produced the lust in their mind. This lust occupied the mind and body of them. Some happened in name of love and some in name lust. It violated the laws of creator by the men. And it laid curse fell upon every creature. They lost their heavenly powers on earth. They become just mere living beings. Some of them attempted to gain the power by worship of their divine god and goddess as per their births. My grandfather told me that these creatures came from various places like, Dia, Crete islands, Greece from west and from east India. Deiorido was wise king of his kingdom, he would care his subject. His hairy beard and masculine physique always drags him into eyes of attraction to the all females of his kingdom. Females of his kingdom, used to linger around the palace for his vision. Deorido used to go the temple of Poseidon every morning with his fellows. The females with flowers welcome him into the city. He receives their love with the smiling face. Temple was situated in the midst of the city. City of this kingdom was like heavenly abode. But it was not far away from earthly misfortunes. Temple of Poseidon was a well sculpted in the cave which had wide iron entrance. The entrance of the temple was bounded with the spell of magic of Zerul. Zerul was a worshipper of the Poseidon. Bless of Poseidon was obtained by Zerul through the penance at the cave for several days in company with his beloved wife Matrid. Cave was with the other creatures so liven. Although sun was never entered in the cave but it was full of with the light. The light was of flies which were flickering light around the idol of Poseidon. Zerul was betrayed by his own brother Berul. Berul was against the policies of the Zerul. Zerul used to treat subjects with equality. But Berul had not this policy of equality; he wanted to rule on every beings of kingdom. Even he wanted to make human slave of their kingdom. So he gathered his few members to capture the humans from the human land across the lake. His friends attempted several times to cross the boundaries of their land although the holy custom of Poseidon not to cross the boundaries. Trus was one of them. Trus was a half tiger and half man.
