Chapter 6
Layla’s POV
Next morning
“Hmm..” I moaned as the morning sun hit my face, smacking my lips sleepily.
I opened my eyes slowly, then closed them again.
But something about my surroundings felt completely unfamiliar, and my eyes snapped wide open.
“What the f**k!” I muttered, quickly sitting up in bed. I looked to the side, but the other half of the bed was empty.
That was when I heard the sound of streaming water coming from the bathroom.
Shit!
My eyes snapped open wide and the whole night came crashing back in pieces that made my stomach flip and my face burn hot at the same time.
Me standing naked in the middle of the room when he walked in with the shopping bags.
His eyes going dark as he looked at every inch of me, my heavy t**s, my soft belly, my bare p***y.
His hands on my waist pulling me in. His mouth on my n*****s, sucking hard until I moaned like a w***e.
His fingers pushing inside me, stretching me open while I rubbed my c**t and came so hard I squirted all over his hand. Him dropping to his knees and burying his face between my legs, tongue f*****g my cunt while I grabbed his hair and ground against his mouth.
The wet sounds, the way he groaned like my p***y was the best thing he had ever tasted. Me begging him, actually begging a stranger to f**k me.
My stomach twisted now with shame and leftover want. He had stopped and pulled his hand away even though I was clenching around nothing and leaking all over the sheets.
He knew I was trying to f**k the pain of Wyatt away. He knew I was broken and raw from being told I disgusted the man I loved. And instead of taking what I was offering like any other guy would have, he stopped.
Part of me was still pissed about it. My body had been on fire, ready to take every inch of him.
I could still feel how big and hard he was through his pants when I ground on him.
I wanted that stretch, wanted him to pin me down and f**k me until I couldn’t think about Wyatt or my body or anything else.
He touched me like I was something he craved instead of something to tolerate.
I looked down at my body. I was still naked, with only the duvet covering me.
There was no way I could face him right now. I stood up quickly, snatched my clothes off the floor putting it on quickly, and grabbed my bag and phone.
The shower was still running, but I knew he would be out in no time.
I tiptoed to the door, making sure I didn't make a sound, then slipped out and locked it gently behind me.
“Oh, that was close,” I muttered to myself as I rushed toward the elevator.
The moment I stepped out of the building, I flagged down a passing taxi, and the driver pulled over immediately.
“Miss, where to?” the driver asked as I scrambled into the backseat.
“Where to?” he repeated, looking at me through the rearview mirror.
I gave him a weak smile. “Lucky Street… just drop me at the junction.”
I leaned back against the seat, fanning my face with my hand.
I couldn’t believe myself.
How could I do that? Just thinking about it again sent a sudden, wet tingle straight to my thighs, and my eyes widened at my own body's reaction.
What the f**k is wrong with me? What would that sexy man think of me? A slut? A w***e? Ah! Whatever. I wouldn’t be seeing him again anyway.
Yes. I’d just go ahead with my life and pretend none of this ever happened.
“Yes Layla, it’s nothing. He’s a one night stand.”
Then my mind slipped back to Wyatt and the cruel words he had said yesterday.
But strangely… the pain didn't sting as bad as it did last night.
Suddenly, reality hit me.
Mom!
I pulled out my phone and saw her missed calls.
“Oh my goodness!” I gasped, making the driver glance at me in the mirror again.
There were tons of messages from Mom. Of course she was worried. I had never slept out before without telling her.
How would she react if she knew I was begging a stranger to f**k me? The thought made me fidget nervously in my seat.
“We're here, miss,” the driver said, jolting me out of my thoughts.
“Oh, thank you!” I got out, paid him, and watched him drive off.
I breathed out a shaky breath.
“Here’s your reality, Layla. What excuse am I even going to give?” I muttered under my breath.
I walked up to our front door and pushed it open. I found Mom sitting on the couch, looking completely restless.
“Good… morning,” I muttered, which made her snap her head up instantly.
“Good morning?!” she half-yelled, standing up as I shrunk back.
Here we go.
“Where the hell was your phone?! I called you eighteen times yesterday! Do you know how worried I am? I thought something terrible had happened to you, and I didn’t even know who to call after I called Audrey… she said you’re not with her! You don't have any other friends' houses that I know of where you could be!” She rushed through her words, and I swallowed hard.
Where was I even supposed to start? Tell her that the boyfriend I never introduced her to broke up with me, and I made out with a stranger? Even in this stressful situation, the image of that older man popped into my head, and I quickly shook it off.
I clutched my handbag tightly, looking down at the floor because I seriously had no idea what excuse to make.
“I’m sorry, Mom… I’m so sorry I made you worry… Yesterday was just a really bad day for me… and I was so—” Tears sprang to my eyes, threatening to fall. “So— I just stayed in a hotel.”
“I—” I tried to speak again, but my voice cracked completely.
Mom moved toward me immediately and pulled me into a tight hug.
“Don’t cry… I was just so worried you might be hurt. You know we only have each other,” she said softly, patting my back.
“I’m sorry. I’ll pick up your call next time,” I said, hugging her back.
Buzz.
Buzzz.
My phone vibrated inside my bag. Mom pulled back, wiping the tears from my face as I pulled the device out.
“Huh?” I stared at the screen, unable to believe what I was looking at.
“Mom… look…”
She turned her eyes to the screen. The moment she saw what was on the display, we both screamed in unison.
“What!!!!!”
