Lucien's POV
Days passed, and there was still no sign of Kane. I had been relentless in my search, utilizing every resources in my control and even my allies were helping, but he seemed to have vanished off the surface of the earth. I'd ended up killing all the prisoners when I was trying to torture the answer out of them. They truly didn't know anything anyway. And it was just good riddance. Only Caleb was alive, and he was in a bad shape.
For some reason, Davina didn't want him dead. She liked to consider the fact that he saved Cynthia. If it was left to me, I would have blown his head off. I didn't care what he did after. I couldn't get over the fact that he hurt her, even when he was meant to protect her. He saw everything that she was going through and didn't save her.
