Twenty men are sitting around a large oval table, the lights dimmed so low they merely cast an eerie glow. In true vampire fashion, all seem to prefer the dimness to the light, but there is something different about everyone's behavior in this meeting.
They are all faking their comfort in the dark. Most have noticed now that their eyes no longer thrive in the lightless room, so when one suggested keeping the lights barely dim, all agreed without much explanation why.
This is something never practiced in their traditions. They reign in darkness. They thrive in darkness. Why is it now that they are resisting the urge to squint to see better?
