Mariana POV
“Here,” Bella tossed the unconscious body of the guard on the ground before me. “Change him.”
I stared at her in disbelief.
Minutes ago, Bella handed me the syringe, then dissolved her body into a cloud of mist again, disappearing between the cracks of the door. She told me to wait in the room for her, and I was trusting her to know what the hell she was doing.
She just opened the heavy door, her body now in one solid piece, and had a single unconscious guard in her hands before throwing him on the ground at my feet.
I stood there gaping at her, looking from the guard to her over and over again. “What?!”
“Change him,” she urged. “Do your biting thing. We needed a blood bag to get this going. I already told Lorisa we were onto phase two.”
“What the hell was phase one?!”
