I stared at the paper in my hand, the words blurring together as I tried to process the accusation. Damian and Astrid's signatures at the bottom seemed like a cruel joke. How could they do this to me? The allegations were false, a twisted web of lies designed to destroy my reputation. “What did I ever do to you to deserve this hatred? I have been a faithful wife to you and loved you despite all the bad things you did to me. I still looked over it and continued to love you because the love we shared together still meant a lot to me, and this is what you would use to pay me? Accusing me of stealing the demon's head. Don't you even think for a second what I would even use it to do? I am a female wolf that wouldn't use it for anything. You yourself even know that I can't even do it, but she would just continue to go through your head. Come off it and look into my side, please. I beg you.” I said, kneeling down, pleading for him to help me get off the disgrace and embarrassment of the pack.
“It's too late for that, okay? you have no room here in the palace and also in the pack. I'm sorry to tell you this, but you are a disgrace to yourself and to the royal home; you didn't have to steal it. I know you wanted to get back at me, but you should know that it wasn't necessary for you to use the demon head against me. This is the pride of the royal generation, and you wanted to sell it off, but your Nemesis has caught up to you,” Damian said. “You should know that I didn't even do it; you of all people should trust me and know I'm innocent of all these allocations. Please hear me out. I don't have anything to do with the demon's head. I know that it's the pride of all the royal generation, and me doing it to get back at you is worthless. Why would I even sell it out? Who do I know? You have to understand me and know that I'm totally innocent of all these allegations. I would rather not get back at you in any way. You just wanted you to live a happy life. I just wanted to be in the picture. Even though you hate me, please help me out and take these allegations off me. You are the only one I can talk to right now,” I said, pleading as tears rolled down my cheeks.
For a second there was an atom of remorse in him, but immediately he turned it into his arrogant face, and his Luna Victoria held him, having him in control. “You have to face the trials, okay? Soon the elders will be here, and your judgment will be passed on to you. I think we are done here,” he said, leaving me alone.
I knew I had to leave to get out before it was too late. The park was my only option, a place where I could hide and try to clear my name. As I walked through the gates, the trees seemed to close in around me, casting long shadows that stretched like skeletal fingers. I shivered, despite the warmth of the evening. As I was thinking of the way forward to move it off the pack because I have no room here anymore, Victoria came around. I knew she was all full of surprises, but I didn't know what she was here to say to me. But I had to confront her first. “What are you here for now? Maybe come to mock me for taking my place? What more can you even do to me that would make me not beat you to death right now?” I said, filled with anger. “I'm sure you know the consequences of what you just said. If I take the complaint to Damian true or false, he would still take action immediately, but that is not what I'm here for. I'm here to talk to you about us. I mean especially you because you need more help,” she said.
“And why would I accept it if you want to help me? Come to think of it, you are the reason behind all these challenges I am facing now. Why do you think I would accept your help?” I asked.
“Because you need to survive, you require a life. You may think I'm more wicked, but you don't even know the story behind me and Damian, but I think you should survive. I'm just here to support you, okay? You can take my advice if you like. You can still leave it if it pleases you. I'm not here to force you to do what you don't want to,” she said. She was making a point in her advice to me, and you had to take some point from it and leave the pack for her to take care of. I knew I wasn't coming back, but I still had my revenge if I came to survive all this.
Survival became my focus. I required food, dodged suspicious glances, and tried to find shelter for the night. But as the days passed, I began to feel like I was being watched. Every snap of a twig or rustle of leaves made me jump. I couldn't shake the feeling that I was being stalked, that unblinking eyes were trained on me from the darkness.
The park was full of secrets, whispers of strange occurrences, and unexplained noises. I tried to ignore it, to focus on my problems, but the atmosphere was starting to get to me. I felt like I was walking on edge, waiting for something to snap.
As night fell, I huddled in a hidden corner, my heart racing with every sound. I knew I couldn't stay here forever, but for now, it was my only refuge. Little did I know, I was about to become prey.
“And that is how I found my way here. I only want a shelter because I have nowhere to go to” I said pleading, waiting for him to pass his answer on my stay at his pack.
