Lyria Is Missing

AZRIEL POV “With the silver wolf you are going to be powerful. Everything you needed would be all yours, Prince Luca.” I halted, standing at the entrance of my brother's room. Since my Beta was out of pack as well, he was the next person in charge. “Look for her! No matter what it cost me, I would pay,” Luca instructed the man who bowed down before turning to leave. He quickly hurried out the moment his gaze met mine. Luca, who just noticed my presence, has his gaze fixed on me. “I heard you got married,” Luca said. “I thought you were going to stay with your wife there since you and your Beta abandoned everyone and the pack’s affair to just me.” “Luca, I didn't abandon the pack,” even though it was of no use explaining to someone who sees me as nothing but a rival, I continued. “We need Bluemoon Pack's money to get everything we needed to sustain this pack. Our strong Gammas and guards won't give us—” “That is all the reason for you to give up, brother!” He half-yelled, staring at me with so much hate in his eyes. Before I could explain, he continued. “Since you lost your wolf, why then are you still clinging to the position? You are undeserving of leading this pack! The past three years you lost your wolf have been nothing but disastrous.” “You are not even worthy of being called a man, let alone an Alpha!” His words hit me hard, reminding me of words my father usually said to me. Men are meant to be strong. Alphas are meant to be God. Alphas are meant to be worshipped. That was the reason he gave me a hard time. While Luca was playing house with his friends, I was undergoing hard trainings. I was locked up to starve. I was put to duel with guards twice my age. Every time I lose, it ends badly. After going through all that, I am still called unworthy. After paying for the crimes my father died without paying, I still get to prove my worth every f*****g day! “Alpha Azriel, thank goddess you are here,” Beta Katz’s voice snapped me out of my thoughts. I turned to face him, pretending all is right. “Have you—” “Sorry to interrupt you, Alpha, but this is urgent,” his words hit me, leaving me curious. I get we are in dire need of money, that is the only way we can move past the stage we have been stuck in for three years, but what could be the urgent thing? “Luna Lyria's personal maid just contacted me about her absence. She wants to know if she is here with you—” “What are you talking about? Lyria isn't here with me!” I interrupted Beta Katz, not sure what any of this meant. She clearly made her stand clear, and I doubt if there is anything to worry about. “Alpha, her maid said she went to visit her father, but she hasn't come back neither did she go to the hospital—” “Are you trying to say she didn't visit her father and is also yet to come back home?” I interrupted him. Seeing how he nodded his head to my question, I didn't wait for his response before leaving. I got into the car before driving straight to Bluemoon pack. I drove at the highest speed, a part of me wishing I could just fly over. For whatever this was, she can't possibly be with that scum! From the way she stared at him earlier, I just knew something was off. I pulled over and hurried out of the car the second I arrived at Alpha Xavier’s mansion. “Where is my wife?” “Is she not with you? I—” Without giving her the chance to complete her statement, I asked, “Where is that bastard's house?” “I said, where is that bastard's house!?” I shouted this time, hoping Lyria's maid would open her mouth and give me an answer! If Lyria really chose me on that day for the sake of our pack's alliance, then she should stick to that! As long as she is my wife, I own her! “Where is Dave's house?” I asked again, this time fierce and loud. “I… I know there. I would go with you,” she replied. Without waiting or sparing a second, I walked back to the spot where I packed the car. I got in, started the car before driving off, already annoyed at how everything was going. I am supposed to be in Wave Pack, sorting all the problems that need financial solutions, but Lyria is nowhere to be found. Since she took up the position of the Alpha, it is only right for her to continue with the alliance deal from where her father stopped. “We are here,” after countless turns, Lyria's maid finally pointed at a building. I parked the car before hurrying into the building, which looked rather disappointing for a princess’s fiance's house. Where is she? I searched tirelessly, every corner, every room, as if she was hiding. I knew something was wrong, but I just can't lay my hands on it… Or maybe she— “Alpha Azriel, there is a fire!” Lyria's maid snapped me out of my thoughts. Before I could speak, she continued. “It is coming from the house Alpha Xavier was building to gift Luna Lyria and her husband.”
