(Jackson) I was waiting outside the classroom when Avery walked out with her bag slung over her arm. She looked a little tired, but when she saw me, she smiled. “Hey,” I said, standing up from the bench. “How was class?” She gave a small laugh. “Let’s just say it was… interesting.” Elias and Luca came around the corner right after. Elias had a drink in his hand, and Luca was already talking about food. “Perfect timing,” Elias said. “Let’s eat before lunch rush ends.
