Cassandra was beyond exasperated as she sniffed the air for Hunter. She couldn't catch his scent just as Nick had complained and she was getting more worried. Her wolf had combed the entire forest, looking for him but she still couldn't find him and Cassandra didn't know what else to do. But one thing she knew was she was not going to stop; she could not and would not return without him. There was absolutely no way she would be able to sleep knowing that her Hunter was hurt somewhere. She needed to find him and console him. She felt he needed her more this time. Nick had said Yakob had brought his mother up and Cassandra knew what that meant. She could only wonder what that cunning man had told Hunter.
It was still a mystery to her why Nick and Hunter still bothered to hang out with him.
