Cassandra stared at the little girl, surprised that the girl would still care about her even after she had gotten punished because of her. She was touched by the girl's affection and she wondered what she had done to deserve such love.
"You don't have to worry about that." She ruffled the girl's lock. "I'll go talk to grandma. She will forgive me. She can't be angry at me for too long." She assured the girl who was staring at her with glassy doe eyes. Her hazel eyes were beautiful despite the tears shining in them. Cassandra reached out to wipe the tears from the little girl's puffy cheeks.
"I get you into trouble all the time." She whispered but the girl shook her head vehemently.
