(Amara’s POV)
I should have answered Keith’s call before opening the god damn door. That was what was running through my mind as I stared at Naveen and my mother.
I was told to wait before rushing to the door or going outside. I needed to inform the security that was stationed on the side of the house. But everything had flew out of my head and I had mindlessly… not so mindlessly – more like my mind was overcrowded and I had just gone ahead and open the door before thought anything through.
This was on me.
I had asked for normalcy, I wanted them hidden away so it didn’t feel like I was stuck in a prison. But the past few weeks of nothing but silence had me forgetting what it was really like out there.
