I saw Uncle Vijay's face appear on the screen beside the lawyer.
I knew it was from the hospital, the most recent visit.
I looked over at Amara.
Her face was pale, and I knew she was having a hard time controlling her emotions.
I wanted to be there for her, but I didn’t know how to do it. All I could do was be near her, hoping she understood I was here for her.
Now that I thought about it, she had been close by my side all week.
