To say my mind was confused by what was going on was an understatement.
“What do you mean?” I asked him while picking at my nails.
“Zara wanted Jay because he loved her, but she wanted to make sure she had his family’s money, which wasn’t guaranteed through Jay. She didn’t know if Jay’s internship with your father would make him successful. She wasn’t going to risk her future on Jay’s ambitions. So, when she realized Jay’s relationship with his father was not going to be fixed, she went for the only option she thought she had. She was going to destroy Jay’s relationship with his father further and make sure that the only son to inherit anything was going to be Devan.” He explained.
“I already know this.”
