Chapter 5

Sophia’s P.O.V

We returned to the pack house after a fun time at the beach. We entered the pack house, but I noticed no one on the lower floor. We went up and heard T.V. We found Embry and Quil on the couch, playing a game. I shook my head in amusement. My mom was right; they’re such dorks.

I turned to Seth and spoke. “Well, I should ask my mom if I’m staying here tonight.”

“Alright,” Seth said.

While I walked down the hall, Seth joined the guys and sat with them. I walked to Jacob’s room. I caught some sounds. I leaned in close to the door and focused. I heard kissing noises. I moved away, smiling. I understood my mom’s happiness and her need for time with Jacob. I left them two alone, and I returned to the game room. I sat beside Seth on the couch. Seth smiled at me and then wrapped his arms around me. I rested my head on his shoulder.

“Hey, Sophia. Have you played before?” Embry asked.

I lifted my head. “What?” I asked.

“Have you played Xbox 360 before?” Embry asked.

“No.”

“Do you want to give it a shot?”

“Sure, what do we do? It seems so violent.”

Embry pointed to the zombies on the screen. “It’s Black Ops 2. It’s where you have to shoot these zombies on the screen,” he said.

“Oh, hum, I don’t know,” I said.

“Come, I’ll show you.”

I got on the floor with Embry, and he handed me the controller.

“So, when a zombie comes near you, press the green button and shoot. Also, using the top button will help with aiming,” Embry said.

“Okay,” I said.

I couldn’t help but feel a sense of pride as I discovered my talent in this.

“Wow, babe, you’re superb at this,” Seth said.

“Yeah, you got to come play with us more often,” Embry said.

“I’ll see.”

“Cool.”

“Well, I should head to bed.”

“Alright,”

Seth and I left the game room. We then stood near the hall.

“Well, I’ll see you tomorrow,” I said.

“Same,” Seth said.

I leaned in towards Seth and planted a kiss on his lips. He brought me closer and returned my kiss. We kissed for a minute, and then I backed off.

I smiled. “Goodnight,” I said.

“You too,” Seth said.

I walked down the hall and entered my bedroom, passing another bedroom along the way. I searched the drawers for pajamas, underwear, and bras. I took some pajamas and then removed my clothes to get changed. Afterward, I cleaned the bathroom by washing my face and brushing my teeth. I returned to my bedroom, slipped under the covers, and rested my head on the pillow to sleep.
