Chapter 2:"The Mysterious Encounter"

355 Words
As we walked, the streets seemed to grow quieter, the shadows deepening into dark pools that seemed to swallow everything in their path. I felt a shiver run down my spine, but Luca's presence beside me was reassuring. We didn't talk much, but the silence between us was comfortable. I found myself stealing glances at Luca, trying to read his expression. But his face was a mask, revealing nothing. As we turned a corner, I caught sight of my apartment building up ahead. "I'm just here," I said, nodding towards the building. Luca's eyes followed mine, and for a moment, I thought I saw a flicker of something in their depths. But it was gone before I could quite put my finger on it. "Thank you for walking me home," I said, feeling a little awkward. Luca smiled, his eyes crinkling at the corners. "It was my pleasure," he said. "I'll see you again, Sophia." And with that, he turned and disappeared into the night, leaving me feeling both relieved and disappointed. I stood there for a moment, watching the spot where Luca had vanished. There was something about him that drew me in, something that made me feel like I wanted to know more. Shaking my head, I turned and made my way into my apartment building. I had a feeling that I would be seeing Luca again soon. As I stepped into my apartment, I felt a sense of unease wash over me. It was as if I was being watched, and I couldn't shake the feeling that Luca was still out there, watching me. I tried to push the feeling aside, telling myself I was just being paranoid. But as I got ready for bed, I couldn't shake the sense that something was off. And then, just as I was drifting off to sleep, I heard a faint scratching sound coming from outside my window. My heart skipped a beat as I sat up in bed, my eyes fixed on the window. And then, I saw a figure standing outside, looking up at me with eyes that glowed in the dark. Luca.
