As I stepped inside the church, I felt a sense of unease wash over me. The air was thick with the scent of incense and something else, something sweet and metallic.
Luca's eyes gleamed in the dim light, and he took my hand, leading me deeper into the church.
We walked through a narrow corridor, the walls lined with ancient tapestries. The images depicted on the tapestries were strange and unsettling, showing creatures with fangs and wings.
I felt a shiver run down my spine as I realized what I was looking at.
"Vampires," I whispered, my voice barely audible.
Luca's eyes locked onto mine, and he nodded. "Yes," he said. "Vampires."
I felt a sense of shock wash over me. I had always thought of vampires as mere myth and legend, but now I was face to face with the truth.
Luca stopped in front of a large, ornate door. He pushed it open, revealing a dimly lit chamber filled with strange and exotic artifacts.
In the center of the room, I saw a large, velvet-draped coffin. Luca's eyes gleamed with excitement as he led me towards it.
"This is it," he said, his voice barely above a whisper. "This is the source of our power."
I felt a sense of trepidation as I approached the coffin. What was I about to see?
Luca lifted the velvet drapes, revealing a creature unlike any I had ever seen. It was pale and beautiful, with eyes that seemed to burn with an inner fire.
I felt a sense of shock wash over me as I realized what I was looking at.
"A vampire," I whispered, my voice barely audible.
Luca's eyes locked onto mine, and he nodded. "Yes," he said. "I am a vampire, Sophia. And I have been waiting for you.
