~DAMIEN~ The moment we step inside the house, the warmth hits me, but nothing melts the ice I’ve wrapped around myself. I can’t look at her. If I do, I’ll break again. I throw my coat onto the hanger too hard, jaw tight, fingers still stained with her scent. I scrub my hand down my face, but it does nothing.
