Episode 47- Threads of Healing

831 Words

The next few days passed in a gentle haze of recovery and quiet strength. Elena’s wounds healed faster than any human’s could, thanks to the claiming bite and her fully awakened wolf. The deep gashes on her side and chest closed into pink scars, still tender but no longer life-threatening. She spent most of her time resting in the cabin, but she refused to stay in bed all day. Luke hovered protectively, rarely leaving her side. He brought her meals, changed her bandages with careful hands, and held her through the nights when pain or nightmares pulled her from sleep. On the fourth morning, Elena insisted on walking outside. Luke helped her to the porch, one arm wrapped securely around her waist. The fresh air felt like medicine. Sunlight filtered through the pines, warming her skin.
