Tyler stood in the doorway growling. I look toward the floor. Titus stands in front of me.

“Is there a problem, Beta Tyler?” Titus asks him with a snarl.

“What are you doing with her? She's a traitor and is still awaiting her punishment.” Tyler responds.

A deep growl escapes Titus as he tenses. I place my hand on his arm. He relaxes slightly, his head tilts back as he glances at me. His expression softened. “How old were you when your parents were punished for being traitors?”

I stare at him, a bit of fear lacing through my body. I shudder as I whisper, “6”

With a loud growl, he turns back to Beta Tyler. His aura filled the room, making my knees buckle. Tyler falls to his as Titus holds me closer to him. “You mean to tell me you plan on punishing this woman for something her parents did when she was 6?!” He booms.

Tyler shudders as he realizes he has angered the King. “Yes, it was the plan that once she reaches of age that her punishment would begin.” Tyler swallowed hard. “We can't take a chance that she would take revenge for her parents' punishment despite their crimes against the Alpha and this pack. Safety is paramount for our survival.”

I feel Titus tense again, the anger sweeping over him in waves. “Has she done anything in the past 12 years to make you think she would?”

Tyler looked up at the King, his bravado strengthening. “Yes, King Titus, she has.”

I stare at him, shocked. I try to think of what I have done, but my mind comes up blank. “Well, tell me about her crimes.”

I panic as I try to figure out what he'll say. It seems like hours before the Beta speaks. “She attacked Alpha's daughter. She tried to get a few warriors to help her get revenge on the Alpha. Not to mention, she has spread her legs for everyone who will say yes.”

I stood there shocked. I never did any of those things. I look toward Titus and wonder if he's going to believe him. He looks into my eyes, and I can see the anger in them. Oh my goddess, he believes him. Oh no, what now. I'm the lowest omega in the pack. Why would he believe me over a Beta?

‘Calm down, sugar t**s, his wolf told me he doesn't believe him’ my wolf, Willow, says. ‘His wolf says he's a good human despite his reputation.’

I try to relax, but with Titus staring at me, it is hard. I can feel the tears well in my eyes as he speaks. “Is there any truth to these claims?” He asks. His voice is soft.

I shake my head no, “No, I never attacked Tori. She fell and blamed me. They believed her because she's the princess.” I looked at Tyler, “and I have never thought about attacking the Alpha.” I tried to speak firmly, but the feeling inside me was making it hard. “I have also never been with anyone. I am still a virgin.” I finished.

Titus continued staring at me. His eyes searched for deception. He leans down and pecks my lips. “I know, I just wanted to hear you say it.”

A gasp interrupted us, I looked over to see Tori standing in the doorway. “You're choosing her?” Venom lacing her tone. “A traitorous omega?”

Titus releases his aura again, holding me close so I don't fall. Tyler is still on his knees with Tori falling down behind him. “The amount of disrespect I have received since arriving in this pack is despicable. I promise I will be launching a full investigation into the policies of this pack.” He states forcefully. Turning to look at me, “Are you done, my Queen?”

I quickly nod, and he grabs my hand and my bag and walks us out of the room. I see the Alpha making his way down the hall, and my gaze goes to the floor.

“What is the meaning of this King Titus?” He puffs out his chest and reaches for me. “This omega is a member of our pack. It's highly unusual for the King to just take a pack member.” He says.

Titus growls and pulls me closer to him. “You dare to question my decision, Alpha? Do you plan on trying to test me today? I assure you it won't look good during the investigation into your pack.”

Alpha Drake stares at him, shocked, “Investigation?”

“Yes, it seems your Beta has some explaining to do about his lies towards my Queen.” Titus exclaimed.

“Your Queen? I'm sorry, I didn't realize you had found your mate. Where is she? I would like to apologize for what my Beta has done and assure her it won't happen again.” Alpha Drake said.

“I just met her here in your pack.” He pulls me closer so that Alpha Drake can see me better. “Meet your Queen Josina!” Titus exclaimed.

Alpha Drake stared at me, his mouth open wide. “No!” He cried, “This can't be true. Do you even know who she is?”

“I know what I need to know. I look forward to overseeing the investigation into your pack. Enjoy your ball tomorrow.” Titus took my hand and led me to the door. I glanced at Alpha Drake, the anger brewing in his eyes.
