Zachary ran his eyes over the page again while clenching and unclenching his throbbing right hand as he read. His hands ached daily, as did Kevin’s, it was pain that seemed to come with overexertion as they tried to learn multiple new spells a day, but both insisted on keeping it up because it still didn’t amount to much despite them working on their magic all day every day. Luckily for Zachary, when he was too exhausted to use his magic his body just automatically healed itself like vampires' always did and then he could help heal Kevin too and they immediately got back to work.
