It was raining and quite early in the morning so the parking lot was completely empty as Zachary and Kevin taught James some spells. He may not have been able to perform them immediately, but learning the words would help him be able to eventually. They were at a mall, in the underground parking because they figured it safer there than in someone’s apartment given how quickly and drastically spells could go wrong when learning. They would have been in the upper parking lot outside but did not want to get soaked in the downpour.
