Just then he noticed her flinching in pain when he grabbed her arm and he saw a red band around as if someone had forcefully grabbed her.
“Who did this?” he asked in a scary tone.
“No one” Meg stated as she pulled her arm from his grab. But Liam was fast to catch her hand as he pulled her dangerously close and her spine stiffened with the sudden closeness.
Liam had a weird instinct. It told him that it could be one and only Mrs Smith counting that Megan was very close to her and won’t try to bring a bad name to her. Had it been someone else, she could have atleast cried but must have said the name like last time. Calming down he asked,
“Did you tell her about you quitting?” he purposely asked since she won’t answer if he directly asked about the mark.
