“As long as you’re okay,” She said finally, feeling a sudden weight on her shoulders making her uneasy.
Shinbe didn’t hear her as he felt evil crowd around him… suffocating. At first he thought it was coming from Kamui then realized it wasn’t. Looking past them in thought, he quickly reached back down for his staff.
“Stop!” his voice was unyielding and everyone instantly turned toward him. He noted everyone looking at him curiously, waiting on him to explain himself… everyone except Kamui.
Kamui’s eyes changed from a sparkling array of colors to a deep stormy looking gray almost instantly… daring Shinbe to say something about what he had seen.
For a moment Shinbe stared back, meeting Kamui’s gaze head on. His heart clenched when Kamui squeezed Kyoko’s shoulder and he had to fight back
