Chapter 15 It had been a long time since Horsham had felt the thrill, the danger of the hunt. Now, as he was chauffeured over the mountains, he felt more and more certain his quarry was close. He had bought a small motor home in Portland, straight off the lot, astonishing the salesman by not negotiating. He had only one condition. “I want curtains on the windows or no deal.” “No problem!” the salesman had said, unable to hide his excitement.
