John bounded out of bed, scratching Barney's head with his hands on the way out to make a pot of coffee. The day promised to be a full one. He still needed to apply the finishing touches to his preparations for the mission tonight. He figured two or three hours should do it.
The pot of Columbian Coffee he had just put on to perk was a good beginning. Barney nosed his leg until he took a moment to fill the dog's food bowl and his water bowl.
