Hearing those words internally infuriated David, he knew full well how high expectations the Barlowe family had of their successors. Even though he knew those words were true, he still wanted to put in the effort and try to take over the Barlowe name for his own.
“I’ll keep your words in mind.” David said, once again with a forced smile. “However, let me give you some advice as well.” He continued in a tone that seemed colder than ever before as he stood up. “If you make one wrong move then I’ll be there to fix the damage. And when father is considering who to appoint as head of the estate, do you think he’ll chose you?”
