I barely got any sleep. My head was still swimming and my heart never stopped beating rapidly. There were bruises on my neck from Leo choking me. I was sure everyone would think they were hickeys, but I’m also sure people think my relationship with Leo is healthy.
I thought about not going to school that day, but I had two tests and I couldn’t have Vanessa or Callan worrying about me. They couldn’t know how far things have gone. How things were more dangerous than they had ever been.
Leo called me non stop all night, but I never picked up the phone. I didn't even know what I’d say to him. I was too scared of what he’d say. Callan also called me, but I couldn’t answer.
