“Hey sorry I didn’t answer any of your calls. I was wildly sick and didn’t even have the energy to pick up the phone.”  I used that excuse with every one of my friends. I must be a damn good liar because every one of them believed me. Even Callan and Vanessa. I got the homework that I had missed and spent the rest of the afternoon doing it. I thought about inviting Callan over to help me (and maybe do a bit of making up) but decided I still needed some time.
