Openness How are you all doing? Let's begin today's chapter. After Mouda said those words while handing Mostafa the magical dagger—the very weapon that could become the cause of her death—and she knew that... she was completely certain of it. Mostafa: "What's this?" Mouda ignored his question and continued speaking. Mouda: "Take this phone as well, so you can call your family and your friends. And please send my regards to Aunt Mona El Gamal and Uncle Khalaf Al-Asiouti." Mostafa: "Wait... did you investigate me?" Mouda: "No. Your family name alone was enough for me to know who you are." Mostafa: "What do you mean? I don't understand." Mouda: "Your father works with me. Our companies cooperate with each other." Mostafa: "You could've said that from the beginning! Umm... can I ask you something?" Mouda: "I don't know why, but I feel like you've already gotten used to me. Go ahead... just don't make me angry." She smiled slightly. "I'm joking. Ask." Mostafa: "Wait... you actually joke like we do? Anyway, my question is... I don't really understand anything anymore, but I feel like you vampires are different from how you're portrayed in foreign movies." Mouda: "Of course we're different. Well... not all of us." After Mouda sat beside him, Mostafa spoke again. Mostafa: "Then... can you tell me about yourself? Since we're married, I'd like to get to know you better." Mouda: "Alright." "My name is Mouda Al-Asioui—or rather, Ruqayyah Al-Asioui." "I'm 575 years old." "I've been an orphan since I was fifteen." "As you already know, I own several companies. I'm well-known, but people don't know what I look like." Mouda looked at Mostafa, who was staring at her in complete shock. Mouda: "Why are you looking so shocked?" Mostafa, still stunned: "How old did you say you are...?" "Five hundred and seventy-five years old?!" "Oh my God..." "You're kidding, right?" Mouda simply shook her head. Still unable to recover from the shock, Mostafa continued, "Then... why haven't you gotten married all this time?" "And out of everyone... why did you choose to marry me?" As usual, Mouda answered coldly. Mouda: "Just because." Mostafa: "No one ever proposed to you, right?" Mouda: "No." "Many people proposed." "I rejected all of them." "And before you ask why..." "I preferred living alone all those years." "Besides, people only wanted me because I'm rich." "As for you..." "I already know you're a ladies' man." "I don't even need to ask how many girls you've dated or whether you drink alcohol." "But I'll pretend I don't know." Mostafa: "Your story is really something." "I don't usually like being curious..." "But in this case, I'm much more curious than I ever expected." "And what's with this 'ladies' man' thing? And drinking?" "But... what can I say?" "You're one hundred percent right." ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ Before Mostafa could ask about the magical dagger and understand more... Maryam interrupted them. Maryam: "Miss Mouda, it's time to head to the company." Mouda: "Alright." She turned toward Mostafa. "Goodbye, Mostafa." "I'll see you in a few hours." "Oh, right..." "I called your mother and father and told them we're married." "And we'll have the wedding celebration sometime this year." Mostafa was stunned once again, secretly amazed by her intelligence. Now he truly felt trapped. Mostafa: "Alright... alright." "See you." ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ Somewhere Else... At Asad's Mansion Servant: "Master Asad! Master Asad!" Asad stepped out of his room. Asad: "Yes, you fool." "Did you find out anything about them?" Servant: "Y... Your Highness gave the human one of the magical weapons." Asad's expression darkened with anger. Asad: "So that's how it is..." "I'll show you." "I'll make you kill him with your own hands." "And maybe you'll die with him." He looked at the servant. "You worthless slave." "Go punish her..." "No..." "Actually, just watch them." "Both of them." "I mean her... and that naïve human." Servant: "As you command, Master." The servant left to begin watching them. ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ At Mouda's Office Mouda: "What's wrong, Reem?" Maryam: "Your Highness... I still can't forget what happened between Adam and me." "It's as if he's trying to push me away." Mouda: "Who's pushing you away, sweetheart?" "Adam isn't like that." "Maybe he's just worried about you." "And he has every right to be." She sighed. "I'm worried something might happen to Mostafa." "I've been on edge ever since what happened." Maryam: "But Your Highness... he's not really a target, is he?" Mouda: "I know." "But it's enough that he's on my side." "If Mostafa—a grown man—was kidnapped..." "What would happen to you?" "You're a girl." "We're all worried about you." Maryam: "You're right." "But... does he really love me?" "Or is there someone else?" Mouda: "Oh, stop talking about someone else." "You two are both hopeless." ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ After they finished talking and completed their work... They returned to the palace. Night fell. Everyone went to their own room. Mouda—Ruqayyah—fell into a deep sleep. Meanwhile... Mostafa quietly crept through the hallway, gripping the magical dagger tightly in his hand. He was heading toward Mouda's room. He wanted to end her life... To finally free himself from the feeling of being a prisoner's husband to a vampire. He slowly approached her room... Reached for the doorknob... And began opening the door... To Be Continued... ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ Author Niravin's Corner That's the end of today's chapter! I hope you enjoyed it.
