“$75, What is this?" Andrew asked. He lifted his eyes in surprise. He wondered if he was hallucinating at the time, but he knew he wasn't. "Yes! Do you have a problem with that?" Anderson replied with a stern gaze as Andrew stared at him in awe. "You gave others $400 and you are giving me $75?" He asked curiously as his eye shifted to Claudia who had a scornful expression on her face. He redirected his eyes to Anderson as he stared keenly at him. "Yes! And I ask again, do you have a problem with that?" Anderson asked and this time his stern face changed to an angry one. "How…how, can you give others $400 and give me $75? You…." Andrew was about speaking when a thick angry voice cut him up. "Oh, shut up you ungrateful piece of trash". Claudia bawled at him with contempt. "How dare you try to object to the money you were paid to you by us?" She yelled at him with a gloating demeanor in her expression. "I..I.." Andrew tried speaking but she cut him off again. "Oh, shut up, don't dare try to speak when I am speaking, You frustrated stinking pauper. She barked in rage. All this while Anderson said nothing as he stared at them in silence. "The nerves! You have the freaking nerve to compare yourself to the other janitors?" Claudia fumed In anger, her eyes still fixed on Andrew. “Are you better than them? Are you even a man? You should be taking care of our daughter for heaven's sake, but No, instead, we take care of you, put a roof over your useless head, feed you, and let your silly a** marry our daughter and you have the nerve to complain about your salary?” "How pathetic!". Clara said in disgust. “Now leave here immediately before I do something stupid this minute.” She said but Andrew didn't bulge at all. "This is not fair", Andrew thought, still looking at the woman who was supposed to be his mother-in-law. Last month they had reduced his salary to $100 and he didn't complain at all, now this? $75 was not going to be enough for him at all, he thought in a frown. Clara raised her face and glared at him with pure contempt. "I said leave now!" She banged her hands forcefully on the table, her voice rising to a thunderous one. Andrew stood his ground and refused to go; he demanded an explanation for such an act. “I can't go without receiving an explanation, why am I being paid lower? Even if I am married to your daughter doesn't mean you should always treat me badly.” “If you want an explanation, I think you should get a better job and stop living under my roof,” Anderson said disdainfully. Andrew refused to go out of the office, his attitude made Claudia angry. She was vexing and cursing Andrew, her heart was tugging and she glared at him with displeasure. Anderson took the intercom beside the table and dialed for the security to rush to his office. After some moments, three hefty men were standing in his office. The other janitors were still present, they were all surprised by Andrew's recent attitude. His expression was filled with confidence, he refused to be demeaned this time by his in-laws. He demanded an explanation from them. “Sir, you requested for us.” the Chief security said with his head bent forward slightly. “Yes, Hilton. I want you and your men to throw this low life out of the building, I don't want to ever see him set foot in this building again.” Their eyes widened in extreme shock at their boss' words, they knew he was their son-in-law and what could he have done for Anderson to request for Andrew to be thrown out of the premises. “Sir,” Hilton asked confusedly. “You heard me right, I want him out of here and if I ever see him here again, You and the other security guards will have yourself to blame,” Anderson spoke out angrily. “Andrew you are fired, Your service is no longer needed in this hotel,” Claudia uttered. “You mean I am fired? All because I demanded an explanation.” Andrew said in a low tone. The guards grabbed Andrew with force, they didn't want their boss to get angry. He refused to be taken out of the office, he stood his ground but he was overpowered by the three hefty guards. He struggles with them, but his weight is no match to theirs. After several minutes of struggling Andrew found himself outside the gate of the hotel. “You can't do this to me, I deserve some respect. I am married to your daughter.” He said, shaking his head in disappointment. Speaking of Diana, she had been acting strange these days and had been giving him a series of attitudes. Andrew thought to himself while standing outside the hotel. Despite her hurtful attitude, he needed to do something to make her feel loved and special. He glanced at his hand, he was still holding the $75 and thought of buying something good for her and decided to go to a boutique to purchase something nice. Andrew got to a boutique after a few minutes. He stared at the billboard in front of the boutique with an inscription on it. He glanced through it and read the name of the boutique "Trendy Treasures" and smiled in satisfaction, as he felt intrigued by the name of the boutique. He got inside and saw different categories of accessories. He looked around as his eyes fell on a very catchy section. He strode to the place still staring at the beautiful bag with diamond embellishments on it. He picked up the bag and smiled at how adorable and classy it looked. He glanced at the price tag and his eyes widened in shock. "What? $2.5 thousand", he gasped, his eyes still fixed on the bag. He didn't have even a quarter of the money to pay and wondered how he would go back home without such a beautiful bag. "Andrew!" A familiar voice yelled his name, making him pause and causing him to stop in his tracks.
